The Title Insurance Agent reviews title abstracts, prepares title insurance commitments and title insurance policies, monthly remittance to underwriters, develops and maintains relationships with outside attorneys.

The title insurance agent will also assist with other essential functions of the company, such as:
conduct real estate closings
examines public land records online and/or in the Circuit Court

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

The work is performed primarily in an office setting or in the Circuit Court Clerk’s record room.
The noise level in the environment is usually low.
Education and/or Experience:
High School education or equivalent.
Two years of previous research experience (preferred) or equivalent combination education and experience.
Physical and Mental Demands:
The employee regularly sits and uses hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
The employee frequently is required to talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
The employee regularly drives, parks and walks into and out of public buildings in rural and urban environments.
The employee must regularly read and comprehend complex legal documents.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
